Mauna Kea Resort

I could not wake up until about 11:00am as I was very tired. We had Chuka-Zanmai, which I brought from Japan, for just a breakfast and lunch together. Chuka-Zanmai is a chinese noodle. We call a instant Ra-men. It has good taste. We went to Hapuna Beach Hotel as my wife said that she wanted to go to there by all means after taking a meal. In 1995, when I visited Big Island for the first time, I already visited there. At that time, there were few visitors in this hotel, I thought however the hotel went on.

We went to Mauna Kea Hotel first, because it was easy to find out for me. In fact, when I went to Big Island for employee tour of my company last month, I played golf at Mauna Kea Golf Club. Therefor, I steadily knew the way to Mauna Kea Hotel rather that Hapuna Beach. I herd that Mauna Kea beach was a No.1 beach of the United State. And I heard that Hapuna beach, which was next, was a Top-10 beach in USA. As my wife and son said that if there were low price rooms, they wanted to stay here one night, because the pool and beach of the hotel was very high grade, I asked front desk to give a pamphlet and price lists. However, there was a mark of Westin Hotel on the front desk. I wondered why, I read the pamphlet thoroughly. The both hotels, Mauna Kea and Prince Hotel, had been belonged by Westin Hotel. I thought that they had a small business, because guests were very few.

We went to Prince hotel next and got a pamphlet. That was a same one. I thought that there were just more guests than when I went once. I heard that Westin bought out The Prince hotel at Waikiki.

We went to Waimea to buy some fresh foods after seeing hotels. It took about thirty minutes to go to Waimea, from Mauna Kea. I could see lots of greens just like a ranch, after I drove my car on lava all the place without a road for a few minutes. Here was called a Parker ranch. Parker is a landowner who has here all the place. I saw a signal after a long time. There was a center of the town at the second signal. We bought something at the shopping center inside here.

We, three, played tennis after shopping, because we had about one hour until sunset. There were two tennis courts inside The Shores. Anyone else, condo guests can play tennis there. If guest has no racket and no ball, he, or she, can play tennis, because he, or she, can rent a racket and balls from The Shores guest office. I brought three rackets and twenty balls from Japan. So, if there was no one on the court, we could play tennis any time soon. We had a dinner after thirty minutes playing tennis.
